If you want to measure the level of innovation in German jazz, you can't ignore the DLW Trio. Christopher Dell (vibraphone), Jonas Westergaard (bass) and Christian Lillinger (drums) perform an avant-garde dance that is unparalleled. In search of new music, the Dell-Lillinger-Westergaard trio moves in the tension field of contemporary music, experimental and avant-garde jazz. The three expatriate Berliners know Webern, Xenakis, and Boulez as well as John Coltrane.
